:orphan: .. _M68SETDS351: Motorola Exorset 30 Model M6809 DS35 (M68SETDS351) ================================================== .. include:: EXORSET-30-T35.carousel.rst .. Note:: This computer was used as a development system and debugging testbed for the Motorola 6809 processor. This specific model is an updated, and more feature-rich version of the ExorSET 30 from 1980. To the best of my knowledge, this system was priced at upwards of $16,000 USD in 1982, meaning virtually nobody outside of Motorola's internal operations had access to these systems, which even then was primarily limited to engineers and developers. - This is one of only a handful of documented surviving examples of any ExorSET model, let alone a DS35. - Information is rather scarce on these models. - The power supply is a Condor CP608, which was also used in heavy equipment, as well as radio systems. The rest of the components appear to be tailor-made for the ExorSET, with the only possible exception being the two disk drives. The EXORSET 30 was created for a system of study and development primarily for professionals. It is built around a microprocessor Motorola 6809 with 64 kB of memory, backplane format EXORSISER. It is dedicated to software and hardware developments, it supports cross assembler family 6800, with a map and allows adaptation to program EPROM. .. rubric:: Collection Information .. csv-table:: :header: "Acquired" :widths: auto |notpresent|
